How to Invite and Manage Campus Teachers

As a school administrator, you must keep track of your school and campus' GrapeSEED instructors in order to maintain and execute the GrapeSEED program in your school.

You can invite and manage your campus' teachers from the Schools.GrapeSEED website listed above.

How to Invite Teachers to Your Class

To view your school's GrapeSEED teachers, click on your school's name to open your school's page. From your school's page, click on Manage School to the right of the school name, and select Teacher List to open the teacher list.

This list will show you the following information:

  • Teacher Name (a '(pending)' tag appears if the teacher has not yet accepted the invitation)
  • Count of classes the teacher is associated with
  • Teacher Email Address or Phone Number

The phone number option will only be available if the policy is enabled at the region level.

If used, the phone number must be valid and able to receive SMS messages to activate the account.

To invite a new teacher to your school, select 'Invite Teacher' and enter their email address or phone number. System will search for the email address or phone number ID, if it exists it will show you corresponding user information (name and email/phone number id) in a drop down menu

If the invited user does not exist a follow-up screen will ask you to enter the teacher's name and specify the invitation template you would like use.

You can preview the invitation by clicking the Preview button. Once you're satisfied with the invitation, you may send it by clicking the Invite button. The invited teacher will receive an email titled 'Teacher Invitation' or an SMS message with instructions included with a link to activate their account.

  • If you invite an existing user, the user will receive an email titled 'GrapeSEED Account Updates' or an SMS message with information about the changes (in this case, their assignment as a teacher/substitute teacher).
  • If you assign a current teacher to a new class they will receive an email or SMS message notifying them that you assigned them to a new class and the new class' name.
  • If you assign a new user to multiple classes as a teacher or substitute teacher, they will receives multiple emails titled 'Teacher Invitation' or SMS messages (one per class). They may activate the account with any one of the links. Once activated, the system will automatically redeem the other pending (and active) codes, and assign the user to those classes as well. They will not need to click each the links from every email or SMS message.

How to Remove Teachers

To remove a teacher from your campus, click on your school's name to open the school page. From your school's page, click on Manage School to the right of the school name, and select Teacher List to open the teacher list.

From the teacher list you will see a list of your campus teachers, their name, email address or phone, and class. To remove a teacher from your campus, click on the red X to the right of their email address or phone. When you remove a teacher like this, they will be removed from any classes they were previously assigned to as well.
