Nexus is a teacher’s app for the digital classroom. The app aims to provide higher quality learning experiences to students with greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Teachers may project the classroom materials onto a large screen for the enhanced visibility of the materials, eliminating the requirement for physical classroom materials and hence introduces a cost-effective teaching approach. Using a tablet teachers may record attendance and student progress, access teacher resources, and teach a class.
Nexus digitally connects to everything a teacher needs to plan their lesson. They may access all the resources they might need and accomplish their main tasks as a teacher: learning unit content, accessing the training site, reviewing lesson plans, and practice teaching a class.
In addition to these big picture features, Nexus also has all the in-class features a teacher might need to teach well including zoom, full screen, annotation, teaching instructions, and integrated progress checks.
Nexus has a powerful tool, Active Learn, to bridge the gap between what has been taught and what students review in the Student App.
Once students have reached to a specific level of learning and are expected to show proficiency of key learning objectives, teachers are intructed to ask questions (Progress Checks) and assess student’s responses. The students who are unable to answer questions correctly are given additional exposures of components linked to the objective(s). These components are added to individual student REP playlist for practice. This is Active Learn! A personalized learning experience that bridges the gap between the classroom and the home.
Progress Checks are not assessments or ways to test or grade students.
