Who Should Use This Document?
GrapeSEED Teachers, Coaches, or instructors who wish to familiarize themselves with our new digital resources for distance learning and remote lessons, in particular, the Lesson Viewer.
What is The Lesson Viewer
The Lesson Viewer is an easy-to-use web browser application. From the Lesson Viewer, teachers may present GrapeSEED lessons and broadcast them from any popular web meeting tool, like GoTo Meeting, Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc. The Lesson Viewer’s ‘Screen Drawing’ also allows teachers and students to collaborate on the same screen.
How to Access the Lesson Viewer
The Lesson Plan Viewer can be found on the Content.GrapeSEED website. To access it, visit Content.GrapeSEED.com on a web browser and login with your account credentials. You may also click on the ‘Digital Content’ tab on the School Portal home page.
How to Open a Lesson Plan in the Lesson Viewer
From the Content website, click on Unit on the left-hand side below ‘Digital Content'. This lets you pick the unit of the lesson you would like to present. Click on the number of your selected unit from the unit number list at the top of the page. To open lesson plans for that unit, click on Lesson Plans below the unit list.
This will populate a list of every lesson plan in your selected unit. To open one of the lesson plans in the Lesson Plan Viewer, click on the Lesson Plan Icon to the far right of the lesson plan’s name. This will open the Lesson Plan Viewer in a new tab. You may present this tab to your remote classroom via screen sharing.
How to Navigate the Lesson Viewer
Your selected lesson will be arranged into a deck of cards in the Lesson Plan Viewer. From the top you will see the unit and lesson plan that you’ve selected, and the number of the card currently on the screen compared to the total number of cards. To the far right, you will find the following display options.
To zoom in on the lesson card, press the Minus Icon. To zoom out, press the Plus Icon. To go full screen, press the full screen icon, and to exit the Lesson Plan Viewer press the X icon.
Below the Lesson Card, you will find the Thumbnail Viewer which presents a preview of each card as a thumbnail. You may click on a thumbnail to display and present the corresponding card on the screen.
Click on the Right Arrow on far-right side of the Lesson Plan Viewer to advance the lesson by one card at a time.
