How to Grant Access to Next Generation GrapeSEED Products
GrapeSEED Nexus and Connect access is now managed via class license type. When a teacher is associated with a class with the appropriate license type they will automatically gain access to the appropriate Next Gen product(s).
In order to setup a class license type, the available license types must first be set at the school level.
During school creation, or from the edit school page, make sure that you select all available license types you want that school to have access to: License Types:
- Classic (GrapeSEED or LittleSEED) - only in-class instruction using physical classroom materials
- Connect (GrapeSEED only) - only remote instruction via GrapeSEED Connect
- Nexus (GrapeSEED only) - only in-class instruction using digital classroom materials via GrapeSEED Nexus
- Classic/Connect Hybrid (GrapeSEED only) - classic and Connect instruction within the same class
- Classic/Nexus Hybrid (GrapeSEED only) - classic and Nexus instruction within the same class
- Connect/Nexus Hybrid (GrapeSEED only) - Connect and Nexus instruction within the same class
Once you have added available license types to a school, all classes within that school will have the ability to have one of those license types. To ensure that all your teachers have access to the appropriate products, make sure that your license types are setup correctly.
Internal and Non-Teacher Users for Nexus
Nexus product access for non-teacher users is consistent with Class Information permissions on the school site. Each user role as specific categories of visibility as defined here:
- Region Admins sees all classes in the region regardless of association
- Account Managers must be associated with a school to see that school’s nexus classes
- Coaches see all classes in the region regardless of association
- School Admins can only log in if their school has Nexus or Nexus/Hybrid enabled. They will only see classes if their school has a Nexus class.
- Campus Admins can only log in if their school has Nexus or Nexus/Hybrid enabled. They will only see classes if their campus has a Nexus class.
