Role Guide for GrapeSEED Teacher

Users logging into the GrapeSEED Portal or GrapeSEED app with a Teacher or Substitute Teacher role can perform multiple administrative functions for the classes assigned to them.

Areas of Access

A Teacher or Substitute Teacher role allows a user to access the following:

  • School and class | https://schools.grapeseed.com:
    Allows the users to view and edit information about the classes and perform multiple administrative actions related to a campus/classes.

  • Content | https://content.grapeseed.com:
    Provides access to materials such as the Teacher Manual, Lesson Planning, Phonics Files, Unit Newsletters, and more.

  • Teacher Training | https://training.grapeseed.com:
    Offers a variety of courses for new and experienced teachers, including a review of concepts and ideas from Foundation Training, a required course for all GrapeSEED teachers.

  • GrapeSEED App(device & online) | https://students.grapeseed.com:
    Allows teachers to log into the app with their account credentials for demonstration purposes to guide parents/students on how to use the app, to play a playlist, or a specific media from the library.

  • Help | https://help.grapeseed.com:
    Provides help documentation for using the GrapeSEED Portal and app, learning what’s new in the latest versions, and managing your GrapeSEED account.

Role Functions

Users with a Teacher or Substitute Teacher role can perform the following administrative functions in GrapeSEED Portal at schools.grapeseed.com.

  • View campuses associated with a school: Select a school to view a list of associated campuses.

  • View, invite and associate teachers with a class: Click the Edit button next to the Teacher or Substitute Teacher name for a class to assign the user as a teacher, or click Invite teacher to invite and assign a new teacher for the class.

  • View and edit class details: Select a class under a campus and click the Edit button next to the class name to manage the class details.

  • View and edit class time: Select the days of the week and duration to define the class time.

  • Generate a unit plan for a class: In the Unit Plan form, click Generate unit plan to automatically calculate the Start Date and App Unlock Date for each unit based on class details.

  • Unlock a Unit Plan: Click the link corresponding to the Current Unit for a class to open the Unit Plan form. Toggle the App Unlock State to unlock a unit plan.

  • Generate Parent Invitation: Click the Generate Invitations link for a class to generate PDF invitation letters for parents to add their child(ren) as a student(s) of the class. Specify the number of invitations to generate and the invitation template to be used.

  • View a list of students and their progress: Select a student listed for the class to view the child’s daily and weekly progress in two separate graphical charts with the play time, in minutes.
