What's new in version 12.0 (April 2024)
GrapeSEED Student App
- The application has evolved from the former GrapeSEED App v11 to a specialized platform tailored exclusively for GrapeSEED students aged 4-12 years old and their designated curriculum.
- Introducing of the new Activity Path feature, that replaces the card-flipping experience while preserving all the functionalities of Repeated Exposure and Practice (REP Online). This offers children an interactive way to engage with designated playlists and content.
- The Reader’s content components, along with Focus Word integration, are now accessible on both the GrapeSEED Student App and website for Units 11-20.
- A new interaction model has been introduced for Jonny Bear AI Talk Time conversations, utilizing the push-to-talk feature in the microphone.
- The new Playback Mode feature has been integrated into the Family Settings, offering two methods of accessing content: "Streaming from Internet" or "Downloading to the device.” Fresh content is now accessible in High Resolution for streaming and Low Resolution for download.
- The "Download Manager" settings have been enhanced with additional features, offering users the flexibility to remove specific content and providing instant updates on the overall capacity downloaded on their device.
- Access management has been elevated to exclusively permit authorized users with GrapeSEED curriculum access to utilize the application.
- Historical data and information from the previous GrapeSEED App v11 will be retained and accessible through the new app for respective users and accounts.
- Parents and users holding existing GrapeSEED App accounts can seamlessly access the new app without the necessity for account renewal.
LittleSEED Student App
- The new application has evolved from the former GrapeSEED App v11 into a distinct and specialized platform exclusively for LittleSEED students aged 3 years old (36-48 months) and their designated curriculum.
- The key features and functionalities of the former GrapeSEED App v11 have been retained in the new LittleSEED Student App.
- User Interface (UI) Design: New UI elements and logo for the app are being introduced in alignment with the latest design, ensuring a visually appealing and modern interface.
- The new Playback Mode feature has been integrated into the Family Settings, offering two methods of accessing content: "Streaming from Internet" or "Downloading to the device.” Fresh content is now accessible in High Resolution for streaming and Low Resolution for download.

Nexus App
- An innovative casting approach that relies on a personal computer and the new Nexus Windows App utility. Casting preferences are set within Nexus App Settings, allowing users to choose between “Casting Provider” options: Chromecast or Window App.
- Enhanced zooming options and font size adjustments for the teaching instructions
- Enhanced alignment and visibility of teaching instructional bullet points.
- The selected annotation tool now persists while the teacher engages in other app activities.
- Next teaching component titles are displayed on-screen to keep the teacher informed.
Connect Site
- Improved eraser functionality enables teachers to selectively erase specific parts of their writing or drawing.
- Newly introduced features in the Text tools allow teachers to select font type, color, and text size, enabling them to adjust and emphasize information during teaching sessions.
- In Team mode, teachers can now mute/unmute all members of a team.
- Teaching instructions are now presented with bullet points, making them distinct and easily understandable.
- Teachers can now provide direct feedback on their experience with the app through an automated embedded survey at the end of each session.
